1st Class Mortgages considers your privacy and the security of your information to be of the utmost importance. All information that you provide to 1st Class Mortgages for the purpose of obtaining a mortgage will be held in the strictest of confidence. Your information will be shared with the credit bureau (Equifax) and financial institutions for the purpose of obtaining your mortgage pre-qualification & mortgage approval.

How do you give consent:
Your consent can be expressed or implied. Expressed consent can be written or verbal.

Equifax Credit Report: Requires signed Consent Form prior to obtaining report.

Amount of information:
You will be asked to provide only the minimum information necessary.

Retention of information:
Your information is kept only as long as required by law.

Safeguarding your personal information:
Your information is stored electronically. We use a variety of the most updated security measures for electronic equipment, such as encryption, firewalls and passwords. Backups are stored electronically offsite.

Disclosure; Other
Your personal information will never be given, sold or traded. It is assumed (but not guaranteed) that the mortgage lender also conforms to the Personal Information Protection & Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) rules and regulations.  Your information, upon request will be shared with the police or other lawful authorities.
